Barstow

 For a long time - Barstow meant "halfway" to me.  I got to ride the bus a lot . . either Greyhound or Continental.   (Those were the names of the two major bus lines at the time.)  The bus stopped there. Everyone got a chance to get out - walk around - just be a person for a while . . then, many of us would get back on the bus and ride along until we got where we were going.

The other thing important to me about Barstow is a bit of family history.  My grandfather told me his parents left items at the laundry for safe keeping.  That's how life was for my Great Grandparents.  

I never met them - but - my heart loves them a lot.

Moving In

Filling boxes - making teeny piles in the new home - finding my way in a new-to-me neighborhood.
